Learn how to safely preserve summer bounty at home while enjoying the fresh flavors of home cooked food. University of Maryland Extension, Wicomico County is introducing three food preservation workshops focusing on canning, drying, fermentation, freezing, and pickling. The workshops comprise of hands-on experience featuring different preservation methods with a product to take home.

You can also buy the So Easy to Preserve book illustrating scientific methods of food preservation and wonderful recipes.

The workshop is for anyone over age 18. However, kids (12yrs. and above) can attend the workshop with adult supervision.

April 23- Canning Jams and Jellies, from 5.00pm-8.30pm

April 24- Drying herbs and freezing from 5.00pm-8.30pm

April 29- Canned and Fermented Pickles \ from 5.00pm-8.30pm
