DNR & 4-H Hunter Safety Camp

Co- sponsored by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and University of Maryland Extension 4-H program, this certification weekend is a new way for youth ages 9 to 15 years to get their Hunter Safety Certification. The Hunter Safety Camp will be held at the Thendara 4-H Center, 6275 Lord’s Crossing Road, Hurlock, Maryland. Cost for the weekend is $85 which includes dorm lodging, one breakfast, two lunches, one dinner, snacks, Hunter Safety materials, firearms use, fishing equipment, use of canoes and much more.

The weekend will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12 and end at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13. An option is available to attend the daytime classes from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
