Cecil County 4-H Poultry Project Requirements

4-H Member & Project Enrollment

  • Cecil County & Maryland State Fair’s 4-H Member Project Enrollment Deadline is May 1st of the current year entered in 4-H Online
  • 4-H members are expected to regularly attend club meetings

BREEDING POULTRY

Registration papers/lease must be in the individual 4-Hers name only! 

MARKET POULTRY

  • INTENT FORM WAIVED IN 2020, 4-H REGISTRATION FORM REQUIRED BY JUNE 1, 2020
  • Market poultry must be owned and can’t be leased
  • All market ducks must be born after May 1st of current year (grouped as pairs of two)
  • All market broilers/roasters must be born after June 5th of the current year (grouped as pairs of two)
  • Shipping/purchase receipt must be attached with entry form for Cecil County Fair

Completed Maryland 4-H Animal Husbandry & Quality Assurance Program by July 1st of current year if 1st year in project or if 4-H age 8, 11 or 14 as of 1/1 of current year

  • Juniors-Junior Program
  • Intermediates & Seniors-Part 1 and specific project species (Please make sure that you are logged in)

4-H Show Entry Deadlines:

  • Cecil County Fair Entry Deadline-July 1stof current year (online only)
  • Cecil County Fair 4-H Animal Exhibitor Orientation and Livestock Sale Meeting, June 3rd or June 8th, 2020.  Youth and a parent/guardian must attend if animal project stays entire week of fair.
  • Cecil County Fair Animal Exhibitor Setup, July 21, 2020
  • Maryland State Fair Entry Deadline-July 31st of current year (online only)
