Interested in improving the Chesapeake Bay? Avid Gardener or wishing you had a green thumb? Dedicated volunteer?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, you should consider becoming a UME Master Gardener Volunteer and joining the next class of enthusiastic horticulturalists! This 35+ hour course is designed to give you the basic information in preparation for volunteering as a UME Master Gardener Volunteer. Topics will include: Botany, Composting, Plant Diseases, Entomology, Weeds, Vegetable Gardening, Soils & Fertilizers, Herbaceous and Woody Perennials, Lawns and Landscapes and other subjects of horticultural interest. This program emphasizes community involvement and outreach as well as environmental stewardship. Two field trip opportunities are TBD. See the 2020 class flyer.

Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. from February 25 - to April 9, 2020

$175/person - incl. Maryland Master Gardener Handbook ($69 value) & course materials
