Physical Activity

Family and Consumer Science Educators provide research-based information and educational programs that promote regular physical activity. Finding the right balance between food and activity is an important step toward; improving your;health. The benefits of regular physical activity include:

  •     Improved strength, endurance, flexibility and balance
  •     Reduced stress and enhanced mood
  •     Increased energy level
  •     Improved body composition (increased muscle, decreased fat)
  •     Lowered risk and/or severity of numerous chronic diseases associated with a sedentary lifestyle
