The UME Balitmore City Master Gardener (BCMG) Program is lead by the UME Baltimore City Master Gardener Coordinator with the help of a very active UME BCMG Board of Advisers (BoA)! This has 7 active committees, 4 elected officers, and several official positions that help the UME BCMG Program communitcate effectively and do great work in Baltimore City. This BoA group meets once a month to help steer the UME BCMG Program.

Bay-Wise is a UME State level Program focused on teaching the best gardening and landscaping practicies to keep our waterways including the Chesapeake Bay, safe and healthy! Find out more by clicking on the menu to the left.
The focus of this committee to help put on talks and workshops, and give technial advise to those interested in starting a pollinator garden. Pollinator gardens are beautiful and provide important habitat and food for native species of insects. Find out more by clicking on the menu to the left. This committee also keeps a demo garden at Sherwood Gardens.
We have several Demonstration Gardens around the City of Baltimore! Our two flagship demonstration gardens are at Cylburn Arboretum, and the State Fair Grounds. Stop by to see the latest techniques in growing vegetables, and how we implement Integrated Pest Managment into our gardening. Sometimes we even host classes in these gardens! This committee is also a Statewide UME program that focuses on putting on talks and workshops about best vegetable growing methods in Balitmore City. For many of us that means raised beds, and container gardens! Find out more and how to contact us on the menu to the left.
This committee helps our volunteers stay in the know about our Program Policies as well as helps us grow as a Program.
Our special events committee is responsible for helping us to set up "special requests" or pop-up tables at events around Balitmore City! We are at the Flower Mart, Cylburn's Market Day, the Leakin park Herb Festival, and more!
