Baltimore City Extension Advisory Board
Greetings!
Thank you for your interest in the Baltimore City Extension Advisory Council (Board), Inc. The purpose of the Board is to give advisory support to University of Maryland Extension-Baltimore City through professional expertise, fundraising, advocacy, and marketing for its research-based programs: (1) 4-H Youth Development, (2) Financial Education, (3) Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), (4) Food Supplement Nutrition Education (FSNE), (5) Master Gardener Program and (7) Urban Agriculture.
We are excited about the new strategic direction underway for the Board. As President of the Board, I aim to set an agenda that not only continues to support Extension programs, but also to extend our support in innovative and entrepreneurial opportunities. We are happy to welcome new board members with diverse skills sets; in particular we are pursuing committed individuals who have expertise in grant writing, graphic design/editing, community development, finance, public relations/marketing, IT, research, and law. These skills will further support the work of our 3 subcommittees: Programming, Fundraising, and Marketing. The general Board meets once a month and the committees meet as needed.
Please consider joining a dynamic board that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth and families that we serve throughout Baltimore.
