Welcome to University of Maryland Extension (UME) Talbot County
We are part of a statewide off-campus education system within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources of The University of Maryland College Park. UME has field offices in all twenty-three Maryland counties and Baltimore City.
We provide research-based educational programs and problem-solving assistance in the areas of agriculture, nutrition and healthy lifestyles, youth development, home and commercial gardening/horticulture, and agricultural nutrient management. This is accomplished through consultations, fact sheets, 4-H clubs and educational programs, workshops, classes, and newsletters.
University programs, activities, and facilities are available to all without regard to race, color, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, age, national origin, political affiliation, physical or mental disability, religion, protected veteran status, genetic information, personal appearance, or any other legally protected class.
