Master Gardener Basic Training- Winter 2018

The next basic training class of the UME- St. Mary's Master Gardener Program will be held in January 2018.  The trainings will take place at the Agricultural Services Center in Leonardtown and will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  The course fee includes textbooks and course materials, and pre-registration is required.  Program policies and guidelines as well as class information can be found at: http://extension.umd.edu/mg/how-become-master-gardener

The Master Gardener Program is sponsored by the University of Maryland Extension, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.  Volunteers enroll in a 40-hour basic training course taught by University and Extension faculty.  In return, volunteers conduct 40 hours of community outreach service for certification as a "Master Gardener".  Certification is maintained through advanced training opportunities and continued volunteer service after completing the program.
