Nutrition, Food Supplement, Safe Food Handling, and Nutrition Education Program

 

Services and programs provided:

  1. Community Nutrition Education. To encourage individuals, families, and communities to live healthier lifestyles; and to facilitate health promotion policies and practices within organizations. 
  2. Food Supplement Nutrition Education is a collaborative community nutrition, and food resource management program for individuals and families who qualify for the food supplement benefit (food stamps).
  3. Childcare Provider Training in nutrition and for healthy child development.
  4. Food Safety Education for community groups and consumers, home canning workshops, and presto canner gauge accuracy checks.
