Apply up to 4 oz/acre to established alfalfa with 6 inches or less of regrowth for preemergence control of listed weeds. Application to alfalfa with greater than 6 inches of regrowth may result in unacceptable crop injury. Do not apply within 25 days of harvest or grazing. Do not apply with any adjuvant or tank-mix with any products formulated as emulsifiable concentrates, unless making application following the last cutting of the season. Application with paraquat can be used for winter annuals prior to the winter dormant period. do not apply to mixed alfalfa-grass stands.

Apply as a broadcast application in 20 to 60 gallons of water per acre using ground equipment. Use higher rate for kill or suppression of harder-to-control weeds and grasses, such as the perennial species. Do not apply if fall regrowth following the last fall cutting is more than 6 inches high. Apply to well-established stands (at least 1 year old) after the last fall cutting when the crop is dormant or before spring growth reaches 2 inches. Alfalfa foliage present at the time of application will be burned, which may reduce the yield of the first cutting. Weeds and grasses should be succulent and growing at the time of application. Do not graze, cut, or harvest within 42 days of application. Do not apply more than once per season. Apply 1.0 to 2.0 pt on fall seeded, newly established stands less than 1 year old—dormant. Do not harvest within 60 days of application. Applications to alfalfa that is not dormant, or has broken dormancy, may result in stand and/or yield reductions.
