In July 2005 I was at WIC on Franklin Street in Hagerstown and I introduced the EFNEP program as I always do. At the end of the class a young gentlemen came up to me and asked for my help in cooking and caring for his 22-month old son. He had just gotten out of the service eight months ago and had some marital problems and his wife left him with his son Jacob. Having no experience with children or home duties he asked for my help. I visited Ivan and we talked about the EFNEP program, how it works, what I expected from him and he agreed. He is very enthusiastic and excited about the help he can receive through the EFNEP program.
