"This is the first turkey I have prepared since last year. In one of the classes we discussed the proper way to thaw a turkey and other meats. I gave a lot of thought to what the nutrition assistant said, but I continued to do it incorrectly. On Thanksgiving I took my turkey out of the freezer and put it on the kitchen counter where it would stay for the next several hours. But I remembered what we discussed in class so I put the turkey back in the refrigerator so it would thaw the proper way. Immediately after dinner I started putting all the food away instead of leaving everything on the table as I had done in the past."
