Area Extension Director

The Area Extension Director will administratively serve as the leader and coordinator of local education programs for the University of Maryland Extension. The Area Extension Director will provide overall supervision at the county offices by serving as liaison with county government; providing logistical coordination for local programming, management of all fiscal operations and leadership or public relations/marketing efforts. This individual will be the key communication link between the county government and the UME Administration. In carrying out these duties, the individual is responsible to the Assistant Director of Operations (ADO). This position has no program supervision responsibilities

These positions are full-time 12-month term appointments. The Agent Associate – 4-H Youth Development is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating specific components of the Carroll County 4-H program which targets the needs and interests of a diverse target audience of youth ages 5-18 as well as adult volunteers. The Agent Associate will function as an active member of the Carroll County 4-H team working under the direction of the State 4-H Program Leader and Area Extension Director with local programming leadership from the county tenure-track 4-H Educator.
