Progressive Clovers September Meeting

Progressive Clovers 4-H Club met Monday, September 14, 2015 at Baust Parrish House at 7:30 pm. The Clovers met at 7 pm to make a craft.

The meeting was called to order by president Alexis Adkins. The 4-H pledge was recited. Roll was called.

Results from Carroll County Fair were discussed. The club received grand champion on the banner and blue ribbons on the float, fair beautification, shoebox float, booth and program book. Each member told their best placing from the fair. The club entered the banner at Maryland State Fair and received a red ribbon.

Old business was discussed. County fair checks have been distributed and need to be cashed by October. Members were also encouraged to write thank you notes for any awards received.

New business was discussed. Unit completions are due November 23 to Amy. National 4-H Week is October 4-10. Where to display the banner was discussed. School supplies were collected to donate to Shepherd’s Staff. The service project for October will be canned food and November will be shoeboxes to donate overseas. The club will be selling subs as a fundraiser. There will be a Halloween party sometime in October. Nomination of officers will be at the October meeting.

The next meeting will be held on October 24 at 7:30 at Baust Parrish House.
