Progressive Clovers February Update

Progressive Clovers 4-H Club met Monday, March 9, 2015 at Baust Parrish House at 7:30 pm. The Clovers met at 7 pm to make a craft and practice the 4-H pledge.

The meeting was called to order by president Alexis Adkins. The 4-H pledge was recited. Roll was called. Guests introduced themselves.

Old business was discussed. The skating party scheduled for March 1 was canceled due to the weather. It will be rescheduled for an upcoming Sunday.

Orientation for poultry exhibitors will be held on March 16 and May 6. All 4-Hers wanting to exhibit poultry at the fair must attend one orientation session.

The club achievement night will be held on April 13 at Burns Hall at 7 pm.

4-H online enrollment must be completed by March 15 at https://maryland.4honline.com.

On March 29, a workshop for sheep exhibitors will be held from 1-3. A swine workshop will be held on April 12.

Beef field day will be held April 11. Dairy lease papers are due May 1.

New business was discussed. 4-H members will gather to pass out Easter crafts at Carroll Lutheran Village. The club will be selling sandwiches as a fundraiser. Orders are due at the next meeting and sandwiches will be delivered on April 29.

Following the business meeting, dairy exhibitors judged the Hoard’s Dairyman Contest and other members made Easter crafts..

The next meeting will be the annual achievement night on April 13 at 7pm at Burns Hall.
