Governor Hogan toured the lower shore counties this past week, and Worcester County Extension faculty and staff were able to meet with this delegation in a private venue at the Blue Dog Cafe in Snow Hill, MD on April 22nd thanks to Mayor Charlie Dorman, who serves on the Worcester County Extension Advisory Council.  Area Extension Director, Karen Reddersen, Jessie Flores, Agriculture Educator, Lower Shore Cluster and Kathy Decker, Administrative Assistant-Worcester County had the honor of meeting Maryland Governor Larry Hogan.
They did a great job in sharing our lower shore Extension impacts, partnerships and efforts across program areas, including a farm to school tour for all first grade classes in Worcester County!
In addition to speaking with the Governor and First Lady about University of Maryland Extension, the trio had the opportunity to share with State Senator Jim Mathias and Worcester County Commissioner, Jim Bunting, some of the recent accomplishments and details of UME programs making an impact in our schools and Lower Eastern Shore communities. Many thanks and a job well done to our Worcester County Extension team!
