Dairy producers and managers are invited to learn about reducing lameness in their herds. The morning session (10:00 a.m. - noon), held at Level Fire Hall, will be a classroom session focusing on the fundamentals of hoof care. Lunch will be served. After lunch, the program will move to Mount Felix Farm, the Keyes' Family farm, at 2000 Level Road in Havre de Grace. The afternoon session (1:20 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.) will feature breakout sessions on evaluation of facility impact on hoof health, live hoof trimming demo with hoof trimmer, and hands-on trimming of cadaver hooves. There is no charge to attend, but registration is required by February 25.
