Appalachia Grows - Small Farms Conference

The second part of the conference will be held on Saturday, January 24th and will feature six different tracks including vegetable production, small fruits, season extension using high tunnels, natural resoources, farm management & marketing and livestock production.   The keynote speaker will be Matt Lohr.  Matt is Director of the Knowledge Center for Farm Credit of the Virginias and the former Virginia Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services.  The event will also feature over 20 vendors providing agriculture goods and services.  For more information and to register log on to the website or call the Garrett County Extension Office at 301-334-6960.
