Fire Power Air Rifle Shooting Competition

The Frederick Firepower 4-H Shooting Sports Club is holding an air rifle shooting competition on Saturday, May 31st at the 4-H Camp Center on Basford Road. The competition is open to anyone 19 years old or younger. Participants will be divided into 3 age group divisions (8 -10, 11-13, 14-19 yrs). (Sorry no clovers, except the Calico kind!) There are two different shooting classes for the target competition, Red Ryder and Firepower. The Red Ryder class is for lever action and single pump air rifles under 500 ft/sec. The Firepower Class is for multi-pump air rifles. Participants can shoot in one or both classes. There will also be a longest shot competition for each class. Participants can bring their own air rifles and/or BB guns or borrow one from the club.
*This is for “Open or Aperture sites” Only (sorry no scopes this time) *NO CO2 or PNEUMATIC AIR RIFLES ARE ALLOWED.
  • Registration starts at 9 am.
  • Shooting starts at 10 am and will run until everyone is done.

Costs are as follows:

                                4-H member         Non 4-H member

Target competition  $3 (per class)       $5 (per class)

Longest shot           $1 (per class)       $2 (per class)

Shoot in one event or shoot in them all! All participants must have a parent or guardian present at time of registration. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each age group division in each class.
