Eastern Shore 4-H Camp 2014!

Camp will be held this summer at Thendara 4-H Center in Hurlock, MD June 15-18, 2014.  Camp will be 4 days this year for youth ages 8 to 12, with one full day spent at Tuckahoe State Park.   We are also seeking youth ages 14 and older to attend as Camp Counselors and age 13 for Counselors-in-Training. Camper and Counselor costs are separate, however the cost of camp includes lodging, meals, activities, a camp T-shirt and backpack, charter bus rental to Tuckahoe, and programming at Tuckahoe for the day.

An opportunity for experiential learning, self-growth, and life skills 4-H Camp engages youth in activities offered in an enriching natural environment.  Encouraged to embrace challenge and learn by doing, campers are inspired to stretch the limits of what they can do and accomplish.

Costs & Deadlines:

  • Campers:  $250
  • Counselors:  $75 (age 14 and older)
  • Counselors-in-Training: $75 (age 13)
  • Non-refundable Deposit $100 by:  April 1, 2014
  • Final payment (Paid in Full) by:  June 1, 2014
  • NO Refunds will be made after June 1, 2014

Scholarships may be available in your home county for those in need of financial assistance.  Call your local Extension Office for an application. You must send in the Deposit Fee even if you are applying, to hold your child’s spot.
