Carrollton 4-H Club Visits Ruffled Feathers

On Monday, May 9th, members of the Carrollton 4-H Club visited Ruffled Feathers Bird Sanctuary in Hampstead. Members had a tour of the rescue facility and learned many interesting facts about tropical birds. Most of the birds have either been given to the rescue by owners who could no longer take care for them or they were removed from unhealthy or abusive homes.

The Club brought with them a box of bird-care items to donate to the rescue. Owners/Directors Gil Stern and Yvonne England were very appreciative. Members were encouraged to volunteer at the rescue as there is always a need for extra help.
