Please join us on Tuesday, September 17 from 3 pm – 6 pm at the Extension office 6615 Reisterstown Road, Suite 201, Baltimore, MD 21215 to experience hands-on interactive educational activities, receive information highlighting our programs, and launch new initiatives.
UME-BC is the statewide, community based educational program of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Maryland College Park and Eastern Shore. Since the 1940s, UME-BC has delivered research-based programs to city residents in the areas of Urban Agriculture, 4-H Youth Development, Nutrition Education and Financial Management to solve problems and improve lives and neighborhoods. The three-fold mission is to contribute to the well-being of local residents by increasing economic prosperity, improving environmental quality and enhancing quality of life.
In addition to providing direct services throughout the city, join UME-BC as we provide expanded community and workforce development capacity building initiatives that will educate and train community members in Baltimore City. Come learn more about how UME-BC is addressing major community issues including obesity, youth development, general health, financial literacy, and food production, quality and access.
