Maryland 4-H Horse Jamboree Quickly Approaching

The Maryland 4-H Horse Jamboree is scheduled for June 28-30, 2009 at the Western Maryland 4-H Camp in Garrett County, MD.  Garrett County volunteers and staff have been working hard to ensure that youth and volunteers who attend have a great time.  The schedule will include numerous workshops, demonstrations, the state horse communications contest, swimming, and much, much, more.  Some of the workshop topics may include:

• Equine Behavioral Troubleshooting
• Equine Professions
• Outdoor Cooking
• Selecting an Equine College
• Horse First Aid
• Showmanship
• Horse Bowl Questions & Answers

This event is open to 4-Hers ages 8-18 years of age. You do not have to be enrolled specifically in the horse project to attend.  Registration information for this event can be found at www.4hhorse.umd.edu/activities/jamboree.html.  The registration deadline for this event is Friday, June 5, 2009.
