2017 Free Tax Assistance Day
February 23, March 9, and April 6
The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation help to low- to moderate-income people. If your family earned $55,000 or less in 2016, you can receive FREE tax help and get your 2016 federal and state income tax returns done quickly through e-filing.
University of Maryland Extension hosts three free income tax preparation day in partnership with Community Action Agency Montgomery County, the IRS, Maryland CASH, and Internal Revenue Service.

The IRS does not allow VITA to prepare taxes without required documentation.
