Kids Taking Charge

"Keeping Kids Safe When They Are Home Alone"

A Short course designed to give children the opportunity to learn and practice skills that can be used when they are in a self-care situation. We encourage participants, parents and others to explore and practice the 4-H idea of "learning by doing". This course is ideal for children 8 - 12 years of age.

Topics Include

Personal Safety
Crime Prevention
Basic First Aid
Fire Prevention
Dealing with lonliness and boredom
Getting along with siblings and friends
Home emergencies

The curriculum with leader/teacher guidelines and activity suggestions as well as camera-ready worksheets for participants is available at a cost $5.00 (add $3.00 for Shipping and handling)
