The mission of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) is to improve the quality of individual and family life through research-based information and educational programming. FCS Extension helps to educate people so they can help themselves to strengthen their own families and build their communities. FCS Extension serves the residents of Cecil County and other Maryland counties with information, resources, and programs that address needs in three broad areas:
Financial Education, including family resource management and financial education.
Healthy Lifestyles and Nutrition, including health and wellness, nutrition, and food safety.
Healthy Homes, a program that emphasizes safety and environmental health concerns.
