The world is becoming more technology based by the minute and our youth are gearing up for this in the 4-H program by participating in the 4-H Robotics Program. This innovative program lets youth explore, design, build, and program their very own robots. These robots come in various shapes and sizes and can perform a number of tasks. The LEGO WeDo, LEGO Mindstorm and VEX robotics are the ones we will feature in the 4-H program, with a few additions.
We are in search of interested adults and parents to help lead youth in this journey. You don’t have to be a “techy” to help out. We look forward to seeing all you “big kids” who still like to play with toys to come forward and get a chance to play, teach and learn. We are also interested in having any youth join us who are ready to start their robotics future. This program will be grant funded so get on board while we have the funds to put you in motion. Consider this for your in-school or afterschool program.
I'm an Adult, Can I Play Too? YES! We are looking for any interested adults and parents. Anyone who love LEGOs, kids, FUN and can help youth as coaches, mentors, supports, or just to be an extra hand.
How old? We are hoping to have kids 5 - 18 join our program. Some younger kids may need a little more help.
Do need to live in Wicomico County? No. We have people from other counties as well as Delaware and Virginia in our program.
