School Enrichment

Washington County 4-H Youth Development School Enrichment

4-H School Enrichment can make your classroom a fun and exciting environment!

By partnering with both public and private schools, University of Maryland Extension is able to team up with teachers to provide in-class and field trip experiences designed to supplement the classrooms and educational objectives for specific grade levels.

For most 4-H School Enrichment programs, an Extension staff member or volunteer will teach the lessons. In some cases, equipment and supplies are loaned to the classroom.

There is a wealth of subject matters and programs that can be taught by Extension professionals. If your classroom is looking for a program or activity to build upon your classroom goals, contact the Extension Office to see what is available based around that topic area. Often student retention can be enhanced by utilizing guest speakers and presenters.
