2012 Washington County 4-H Scholarships


Through the generosity of our partners and donors, there are several scholarships available for eligible Washington County 4-H'ers to consider:

The Market Sale Scholarship
Awarded to an individual who is a 4-H member in good standing and has sold livestock for a minimum of two years.


The Dairy Scholarship  
Awarded to an individual who is a 4-H member in good standing, and has completed at least the second year of a dairy project.

The Mildred A. Schmid Scholarship
Awarded to individuals who is a 4-H member in good standing, and has done outstanding work in the 4-H dog project. Individuals not involved in the dog project may also apply. All applicants must submit a research paper, suggested list of topics is available.

The amount and number of the above scholarships to be awarded will be determined by January 1 of each year.

Other Scholarship opportunities include.

Washington County Horse Council Equestrian Scholarship - Awards one $250 scholarship.

The above Scholarship applications are due February 3, 2012.

Outside Scholarship Offers Include: 

MidAtlantic Farm Credit - Awards four (4) $2,500, four (4) $1,500 and four (4)  $1,000 scholarships. Applicants must be high school seniors, or currently enrolled in a two or four year institution. They, or their parent(s) or guardian(s) must be members of MidAtlantic Farm Credit.
