The Queen Anne's County Master Gardener Program is now accepting applications for our Fall 2012 Training. Classes run for 9 weeks and will be held Fridays September 7th through November 2nd at Wye Research and Education Center in Wye Mills, Md.
The Queen Anne's County Master Gardener Program is now accepting applications for the Master Gardener Course. This rigorous 40+ hour course is designed to give you basic information in preparation for volunteering as a Master Gardener Volunteer representative of the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension. Topics will include: ecology, botany, soils, propagation, diseases, insect pests and control measures, among others. This program emphasizes community involvement and outreach as well as environmental stewardship.
The cost for the course is $225.00 which includes the Master Gardener Handbook.
