Healthy Lifestyles

University of Maryland Extension Family and Consumer Science nutrition and health educators offer low or no cost evidence-based classes to your group, business or non-profit organization to help your employees or clientele better deal with issues related to healthy lifestyles.

Through nutrition, health and fitness programs, we empower families, individuals and employees to make healthier choices for themselves and those they care for.

  • Good nutrition is essential for children to grow and develop.  Learn what foods to select and how to prepare them to raise healthy kids with bright futures.
  • Find out how to make smart choices to reduce your risk for disease. Live a healthier lifestyle and help prevent chronic diseases, such as osteoporosis, diabetes, cancer and heart disease.
  • Take care of yourself and lower your health care costs.  Improve your quality of life, and keep your body in good shape so you can continue enjoying the activities that are important to you.
  • Stretch your food dollars and stay within your budget while eating  healthier.  We can help you invest in your health and live better!
