Clover Clubs

Clover Clubs are for children ages 5-7 as of January 1st of the current year.  They focus on educational, hands-on, learning activities.

Community Clubs

Community Clubs focus on projects such as Public Speaking, Baking, Sewing, Fashion Revue, Arts and Crafts, Healthy Lifestyles, and many others. 

• Damascus Community- meet on the 1st Thurs. of each month from 7-9pm.
• Olney Club- meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at Olney Elementary School, room 20, from 7-8pm.
• Senior Council- meet the 3rd Thurs. of each month at the 4-H office.
  
• Flying Tigers Aerospace-  The Flying Tigers 4H is an aerospace specialty club. We do projects primarily in basic and advanced rocketry and radio control aero-modeling. We sponsor local rocketry workshops and competitions and provide basic radio control flight instruction to our members. Our club members also participate in activities with the local radio control clubs, control line clubs and rocketry clubs. We meet on the second Thursday of each month, from 7-9PM at the county fairgrounds (Feb. to July) and the 4H office (Oct. to Dec.).

• Clarksburg Helping Hands- meet the 2nd Friday of the month at the Cedarbrook Community Church.
• Creators- Meet on Monday evenings at 7pm.

Agriculture and Animal Clubs

These clubs mainly focus on animal projects.  However, members can be involved in other projects like public speaking, fashion revue, arts and crafts, etc.

• Horse N Around -  

  The Horse-N-Around Club welcomes all 4-H eligible horse lovers, not only horse owners, not only those who lease or wish to lease, but also people interested in learning about horses or who simply love horses.

  Club members may participate in several club activities, such as:

  • Horse and Pony Skills Book activities,
  • Horse Bowl practices and competitions,
  • Horse Shows at the county fair on a 4-H project animal, owned or leased, or as a Horse Lover with a borrowed horse or pony.
  • Montgomery County and Maryland State horse judging teams,
  • Mounted Drill Team performances and practices,
  • Several Community Service projects benefiting local and national charities, and
  • Learning life enhancing skills such as public speaking, leadership, and helping others.

  The Horse-N-Around Club meets the third Monday of the month at 7pm at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg.

• It's A Horse thing - This club is a dynamic, energetic group of young horse lovers welcoming anyone interested in expanding his or her knowledge of horsemanship through presentations, demonstrations from members and experts, and real-life activities that provide hands-on experience. We schedule regular meetings the second Monday of each month from 7-9pm at the 4-H office and schedule occasional weekend adventures filled with fun activities.
• Jersey Club - The Jersey club is a group who's main focus is learning how to care for dairy cattle.  They learn how to choose a healthy calf for their 4-H project and how to care for it so it grows into a healthy, productive cow.  The kids learn the "business" side of the dairy business as they keep records on the cost of feed, veterinary care, and housing, as well as the income generated by the sale of milk and calves produced by the cow.  This club also learns about crop production, and has fun with other group activities.  The club meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in Boyds, MD.

• Rabbit Club -  You don't have to own a rabbit to be a member of the Rabbit Club, just have an interest to learn all about rabbits.  Club members show their rabbits, participate on the county and state judging teams, take part in a variety of community service projects and make life long friends.  The Rabbit Club meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7pm at the 4-H Office.
