UPCOMING PROGRAMS:

DAIRY LIVESTOCK GROSS MARGINS (LGM) --
APRIL 15, 2011, 10:00--2:00pmLGM is similar to crop insurance only you are protecting the margin between the cost of production (feed prices) and milk prices. There have been some recent significant changes to the way this program is administered included cost share for premiums and the timing of payment of the premium. These changes have made it more attractive to participate in this dairy risk management tool. Our speakers will provide you with the tools necessary to see if this is a management tool that you should be using to protect your profits in this highly volatile milk market.
There is no cost for this April 15th program which will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the UME Frederick County Extension Office at 330 Montevue Lane, Frederick. Lunch will be provided, but you must register in advance by calling 301-600-3576 so we have an accurate lunch count.
