Livestock Quality Assurance Program

4-H'ers showing livestock in Maryland are required to attend a Quality Assurance Program every year.  The program will teach 4-H members the importance of ethical practices in production animal agriculture.  Each 4-H'er will take a pre & post test and will receive a certificate after they have completed the program.  This will be required of each youth showing livestock.  The purpose is not to impose difficult requirements, but to assure the public of a healthy, high quality food source from 4-H members.

A reminder to all those 4-H'ers showing livestock at the fairs.  Make sure that you have your approved certificate of health and your self evaluation form for your animals with you when you arrrive at the fairs.
