Agriculture and Natural Resources

Jim Lewis is the new County Extension Director and Senior Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator in Cecil County. Jim and other Extension Educators throughout the state will continue to provide information, consultation and educational programs to Cecil County's agriculture community. Agriculture programs focus on issues which include:

Agriculture Production
Environmental Quality
Farm Management
Marketing
Water Quality

Annual programs include Agriculture Updates, held in mid-winter, and Agriculture Showcase, which is held during the Cecil County Fair.

Certification classes for private pesticide applicators and nutrient management vouchers are conducted several times a year.
