Growing Crops
Jim Lewis, Extension Agent, provides information, consultation and educational programs to the county's agriculture community. Agriculture programs focus on issues which include:

Special annual programs include the Mid Shore Small Grain Meeting, Caroline Agronomy Meeting, and Caroline/Dorchester Vegetable Growers Meeting, Irrigation Meeting and Hay and Pasture Management. Certification classes for private pesticide applicators are conducted several times a year. Contact Jim Lewis for more information about agriculture programs.
