Abstract:
The Maryland Food Bank coordinates the procurement and distribution of food donations to organizations that feed hungry communities. Each month, approximately 500 agencies pick up food for distribution to more than 15,000 needy families. In Baltimore County, the University of Maryland Extension provides nutrition and food safety educational displays and materials at the point of food distribution to assist organizations with educating their clientele.

Salt, Sodium and High Blood Pressure (PDF)
Designed for adult audiences. Describes how to eat less salt and sodium. Shows how to read a food label for sodium. Display could be used with blood pressure screening at health fairs.

Designed for teen and adult audiences. Describes how to eat and drink less sugar. Shows how to read a food label for sugar. Display could be used with empty food containers demonstrating high and low sugar content.
