Farm Service Agency (USDA) oversees Federal cost-sharing programs such as acreage/yield, farm identification, declarations, aerial photos, disaster assistance, farm loans, incentive programs, CRP and Production Flexibility Contracts.

Soil Conservation District Federal (USDA), State (MDA) and County staff provide technical service to minimize soil erosion and conserve water quality.  A source for soil survey books, wetland information and conservation plans.

Baltimore County Farm Bureau is a non-profit organization that represents legislative, land use and other issues of rural landowners and agriculture at the County, State and National levels. Also provides group health insurance, discounts for other types of farm-related insurance, products and trucks.

Agricultural Land Preservation - Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Resource Management oversees programs to: identify and conserve the County's vital and limited production agricultural resources; address agricultural zoning issues; the purchase of easement rights.
