Demonstration Garden

Thank you to those who have and continue to donate time and resources to the Allegany County demonstration garden. As the planting for this year ends the garden looks to include tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, corn, chrysanthemums, herbs, and other plants. One of the goals is to demonstrate how much can be grown in small spaces. Raised beds, which can be found at the demonstration garden, can be done nearly anywhere. Container gardens fit in even tighter spaces. So if you are interested in gardening and don’t feel you have the space, stop by the Allegany County Extension Office. Have a look around. The entire garden may seem large. However, upon closer inspection the garden is made of many small components that could be done individually.
