Multiple events are held throughout the spring, summer, and fall to address issues of pasture management like rotational grazing, weed control, renovating poor performing pasture, and more. Several pastures walks are typically held late spring to early summer and during the fall at the university's Equine Rotational Grazing Demonstration Site in Ellicott City. We also have a variety of printed and online resources available.
Each year, University of Maryland Extension hosts the Mid-Atlantic Nutrition Conference, recognized as a premier educational event for the animal nutrition industry. Local, national, and international nutritionists share new, innovative, and practical research being conducted at universities, in industry, and at government institutions. Regulatory issues and future opportunities are discussed. The program is focused on poultry, dairy, and equine nutrition. This program is presented each year at the end of March.
Printed and online resources are also available.
