Back to Common Problems - Vegetables

Brown, circular leaf spots on leaves (that contain tiny black dots which are fungal fruiting structures) and dark cankers or wounds at the base of the plant can be caused by black leg. This is a fungal disease that attacks members of the cabbage family

Remove all plant residue at the end of the growing season. Plant disease-free seed and transplants.
