Master Gardeners are trained volunteers of the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension, who are dedicated to helping the citizens of Montgomery County, Maryland.
Our mission is to educate County residents about safe, effective and sustainable horticultural practices that build healthy gardens, landscapes and communities.
Master Gardeners offer free services that the public may take advantage of, including telephone consultation, ask us a question via email, plant clinics, landscape design for government and non-profit organizations, therapeutic horticulture, and a speakers bureau.
Additional information can be found about our organization using the links on the left, and on this one page summary, which describes all the services we offer. The one page summary is particularly suitable for distribution or posting.
You can now register for our annual mini-conference, which will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Choose from nine sessions including: vegetable gardening, pruning techniques, Bay-friendly gardening, bulbs, and much more. Download the mini-conference brochure and register today.
