9:00                            What is composting  -  Description of the compost process the variables that control the process, recipes to successfully compost, and the items that must be controlled:  time, oxygen, moisture, pH, C:N ration.

9:45                            Whole animal composting  -  Whole animal compost systems, set-up of a poultry mortality composter, biosecurity, legal and environmental issues.

10:30                          Break

10:45                          Channel composters and Compositing Problems

                                   Mass mortality composting  -  Both in-house composting and outside composting of large numbers of dead birds.

Take appropriate  route to Chesapeake Bay Bridge (Rt. 50), (Eastern Shore of Maryland). Take Route 50 east past the 301-50 split.  Pass the flashing light at Sportsmans Neck Rd.  Turn right on Carmichael Rd.  Turn right on Cheston Ln. Veer left onto Houghton Lab Ln.  Turn left on Wye Narrows Rd.
