Harford County Mid-Winter Agronomy Meeting

In case of inclement weather, look for a Harford County government closing announcement. If Harford County government offices are closed, then the Mid-Winter meeting is cancelled. If the government offices are opening late, the meeting will still begin at 9:00am. And if the meeting is cancelled, then the make-up date is Wednesday, February 13, same time/place.

The annual Harford County Mid-Winter Agronomy Meeting will take place on February 12, 2019 at the Deer Creek Overlook in Street, Maryland. This year's topics include:

  • Pasture and Forage Weed Management
  • Head Scab Management in Wheat & Barley
  • Nitrogen Management Strategies & Thoughts After a Challenging Year
  • Farm Succession Planning¬†
  • MDA Pesticide and Nutrient Management Updates
  • Local Agriculture Agency Updates

Topics will cover the requirements for Maryland private applicator pesticide recertification and Maryland nutrient management voucher training.

Registration is $12 in advance (before 2/5/2018) and $20 after 2/5/2018 and at the door. Checks can be made payable to: "HC EAC." Registration includes educational materials, morning refresments and a hot lunch.
