University of Maryland Extension is offering an evening equine seminar focused on nutrient management and pasture management. Speakers include Dr. Amy Burk, equine specialist at the University of Maryland; she will be speaking on setting up and managing a rotational grazing system. Dr. Lester Vough, forage specialist (emeritus) from the University of Maryland, will be giving a presentation on pasture establishment and renovation. Finally, representatives from MDA and Soil Conservation District will speak on nutrient management and conservation options and programs available for pastures.
Two (2) hours of nutrient management CEU's will be offered during this course. Registration includes a hot dinner. If you call or e-mail to register by April 17 registration is $10; late registration fee is $15.
