Interested in improving the environment? Avid horticulturist or wishing you had a greener thumb? Dedicated volunteer in your community?

Consider becoming a Master Gardener! This rigorous 40+ hour course is designed to give you the basic classroom in preparation to becoming a volunteer and representative of the University of Maryland Extension Master Gardeners. Topics will include: ecology, botany, soils, propagation, IPM, and many more. This program emphasizes community involvement and outreach as well as environmental stewardship. A fee of $200 is charged to cover all costs including the Maryland Master Gardener Handbook.

Classes take place Thursday evenings from 5:30pm-8:30pm and Saturdays from 9am-12pm starting February 16th to April 15th, 2017.
