Join Harford County 4-H families in Annapolis on Presidents' Day! If you are interested in learning more about Maryland State Government and your role as a citizen and constituent, then this unique citizenship opportunity is for you.

Transportation is provided by chartered buses. Parents are encouraged to accompany their child(ren). You must call the 4-H Office at (410) 638-3255 by February 13 to register.


Families should plan on arriving at the Extension Office by 1:00pm to ride the bus. Bus leaves at 1:15pm. Dinner will be on your own; you can eat at one of the local restaurants or bring your own. Dress should be business professional and/or 4-H t-shirts if you have them, but pleasse, no jeans or tennis shoes. Photo ID will be required for those over 16 years of age. The buses will be leaving Annapolis around 9:00pm and return to the Extension Office around 10:30pm.


The afternoon promises to be a worthwhile learning experience:  tour historic Annapolis, our state Capitol; meet Harford County Legislators to share information about the University of Maryland 4-H program; meet new 4-H families, and visit the evening House and Senate Sessions starting at 6:00pm.
