2018 Maryland Sheep Breeders Association Shearing School

  • The school is open to anyone who wants to learn to shear sheep.
  • Ownership of sheep or a desire to become a commercial shearer is preferred.
  • 16 years of age.
  • A body and mind with the strength and willingness to learn to shear sheep.

What To Bring:

  • Lunch, including drinks (no local restaurants or stores).
  • Comfortable clothes and shoes.
  • Gloves.

Note: Shearing machines will be provided.

Note: No registrations accepted after April 1, 2016. Participation is limited to 15 people, in order to maintain an optimal instructor-pupil ratio.

Registration must be made in advance, and accompanied by $100.00 per person fee. Fee includes ASI Sheep Shearing Manual, DVD, and wall chart. Checks should be made payable to: Maryland Sheep Breeders Association, Inc. (MSBA)
