In addition, he serves as an advisor and technical resource to state agencies, cabinet members and legislators on Bay science and policy. He represents the College on the Governor’s Bay Workgroup and serve as an alternate for the Dean on the Governor’s Bay Cabinet.
These funds also allow Dr. Simpson to support the activities of the tri-state legislative Chesapeake Bay Commission and to serve as a reviewer and advisor to Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay Trust, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the Bay Funders network on topics needing research and outreach funding and on the merits of specific proposals.
